Juegos Panamericanos 2007. Rio de Janeiro
El 18 de Julio, en las canchas del Club Marapendi, se estará jugando la disciplina tenis, donde los chicos argentinos buscaran representar al país de la mejor forma.
En este año no irán las grandes estrellas como tenia pensado el Comite Olímpico Argentino (Nalbandian, Cañas, Dulko). Estarán Horacio Zeballos (218º en el ranking mundial), Eduardo Schwank (278º) y Juan Martín Aranguren (405º), quienes serán los que participen en el cuadro de masculino.
Según el capitán Ricardo Rivera, “tienen chance de sacar medalla. Aún no vi la lista de los inscriptos, pero Schwank y Zeballos están jugando bien“.
Por el lado de las chicas, las que estarán participando serán: Jorgelina Cravero (117ª), Betina Jozami (227ª) y Vanina García Sokol (350ª) y según Mariana Díaz Oliva, la capitana, “Jorgelina puede sacar medalla. Seguramente será cabeza de serie. Y en dobles no habrá muchas parejas; nosotras tendremos a Cravero-Jozami, que ya jugaron y ganaron torneos juntas“.
