Conferencia de Prensa: Juan Martin Del Potro.
En el Hotel Intercontinental, este mediodía, Juan Martín Del Potro, recien llegado de New York, recibió a la prensa argentina, para charlar sobre su logro obtenido el pasado lunes, ante Roger Federer, coronándose campeón del US Open en su edición del 2009.
Enrique Morea, presidente de la AAT, hizo entrega de una plaqueta en reconocimiento a sus logros obtenidos, felicitando al nuevo campeón argentino. Hechas las fotos correspondientes, Juan Martín se dispuso a responder las preguntas de los periodistas.
El tandilense se motró humilde y sincero: “mi vida no va a cambiar, ni mi forma de ser, ni mi forma de vivir, solamente cumplí un gran sueño que tenía, pero sigo teniendo los amigos de toda la vida, es algo muy importante para poder tener los pies sobre la tierra en este tipo de situaciones además, mi familia no va a dejar que cambie mi manera de ser”. Confiesa que si bien ya han pasado algunos días de su victoria sigue sin entender lo que paso, “todavía no tuve tiempo para relajarme, estoy desde la final con todo el tema de la prensa, llegue y solo vi a mis amigos, todavía no caigo”.
A la pregunta sobre sus nuevas metas a futuro respondió, “mi sueño máximo es ser número uno, pero estoy a un largo camino todavía”. Se separó un poco del tenis para dar lugar a hablar de la selección de futbol, y asegura que la Argentina se clasificará al Mundial Sudáfrica 2010.
Para darle un cierre a la conferencia, dijo que su próximo objetivo tal vez sea el Masters, aunque aclarando que se tomará las cosas con calma ya que asegura que su carrera recién comienza y que aún le falta mucho camino por recorrer.
